"Collective" light fixture design was developed in accordance with the Robert Bruce Thompson Competition guidelines, with the objective of creating a solution that is both highly functional and visually compelling for a bakery/internet café. Key design considerations included light quality, energy efficiency, ease of maintenance, branding alignment, packaging, and overall aesthetics.
The fixture draws inspiration from cascading bread slices, symbolizing the bakery as a communal gathering place. Designed as a direct-indirect linear suspension piece, it provides both ambient and task lighting to support efficient transactions while enhancing the freshness and visual appeal of baked goods. Material options include recycled brass or lightweight eco-resin, reinforcing both durability and sustainability.
