Daycare Design

This group project involved the formation of the design team, “Evoke”, and the analysis of an existing building: a former church located in Lansing, MI. The project primarily focused on programming, beginning with a comprehensive site analysis, literature review, and code compliance research to inform the development of design goals and strategic direction. Building on this foundation, the solution proposed was a dual-purpose facility combining a daycare center with a flexible community space. The project was further developed through space planning and developed schematic designs that reimagined the existing structure to meet the needs of its future users.
